in memoriam

You can now make your donations in Memoriam of Jacklin Webb
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklin Webb, former President of the BTW Board (1992-2019) and a dear and valued member of the BTW family.
Jacklin was a teacher and principal by trade but had a strong love for theatre that was recognizable through her time on the BTW Board (1985-2019) and her exceptional work alongside 7 different Artistic Directors. Jacklin passionately contributed to many BTW productions including playing Lena Younger in A Raisin in the Sun (1979) and participating in Gingerbread Lady (1980), My Sweat Charlie (1980), River Niger (1981), Pantomime (1983), Nevis Mountain Dew (1984), and Coloured Museum (1988).
Jacklin was the heart of BTW for many years and her contribution still has an impact on its legacy today. We will continue to remember her legacy and remarkable impact. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jacklin’s family and loved ones.

All donations help promote Black arts & culture across Canada. We hope that you will join us as one of our valued BTW members.
